- BME Student Makes it to 3MT Final!
One of our BME students, Vanessa Palmer, who is working under the supervision of Dr. Melanie Martin and with Dr. Lin's co-supervision, has made it to the final 3 minute thesis (3MT) competition! The final will be held on February 25, 2015, 7:00 - 9:00 pm in Robert B. Schultz Lecture Theatre at St. John's College.

Join us for a conversation with Dr. Lisa Lazareck - an electrical engineering graduate from the UofM - as we discuss Lisa's career after she moved to the UK to complete her doctorate. Lisa now works in the exciting worlds of charitable funding, public engagement with biomedical science, and entertainment (television, games and film). This event will be informal and an interesting foray into a career grounded in biomedical engineering. The event is sponsored by the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) Canada Region, and IEEE Women In Engineering (WIE). Lisa is the current IEEE EMBS WIE Representative.
